AMHERST, N.Y. – The ˿Ƶ College Nursing Department has been named among America’s Best Nursing Schools in the eastern region in the first-ever rankings of its kind released by NurseJournal.org, a social community Web site that provides comprehensive educational resources for nurses and healthcare professionals.

“We are pleased to have ˿Ƶ listed in this new national ranking, which affirms the academic excellence of our undergraduate and graduate level nursing programs,” said ˿Ƶ President Gary A. Olson.

˿Ƶ offers various degree programs in the field of nursing, including an RN-BS for registered nurses who hold an associate degree; master’s degrees in nursing education, nursing executive leadership and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioners; and doctor of nursing practice.

“Given the depth and breadth of our nursing programs, our students receive the highest caliber educational and clinical experience and are well-positioned to be successful as professionals in the field,” said Dr. Michael Brogan, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college.
