AMHERST, N.Y. – ˿����Ƶ College has been ranked one of the top “50 Most Affordable Small Colleges for a Human Resources Degree” in the U.S. by HumanResourcesMBA.net, making ˿����Ƶ the only institution in New York State to receive this national distinction.

“This new ranking reflects ˿����Ƶ’s growing national reputation for offering an affordable, high quality college education that engages and challenges our students,” said ˿����Ƶ President Gary A. Olson. “A college degree is a valuable investment and our dedicated faculty and staff are central to providing an exemplary ˿����Ƶ education that launches successful careers.”

˿����Ƶ is ranked No. 32 on the most affordable list, which places the college in the top 25 percent of small schools that offer a bachelor’s degree in human resources. The list is based on 2014-15 tuition and fees at small colleges across the country with 3,000 or fewer undergraduates.

“Offered as a specialization in the business administration major, ˿����Ƶ’s human resources curriculum aligns with the Society for Human Resources Management educational guidelines, which greatly enhances the learning experience,” said Sharlene Buszka, human resources student adviser and associate professor of business administration.

“Students also build their skills through excellent internship opportunities, engaging with human resources professionals and participating in the college’s SHRM Student Chapter,” she added. “All this connects classroom learning with real-world experience to best prepare our students for rewarding careers as human resources professionals.”

This latest ranking for ˿����Ƶ follows other recent national honors, including the college being named among the top 200 of private colleges in the country for best return on investment in PayScale’s 2015 ROI Report.
