Money Magazine Names ˿Ƶ a Best College in the Country

AMHERST, N.Y. – Money magazine has ranked ˿Ƶ College as one of the 2020 Best Colleges in America for educational quality, affordability, and student outcomes. 

˿Ƶ’s selection for the recently released list includes 739 of the top colleges and universities in the country, including prestigious institutions such as Yale University, Middlebury College, Temple University, Drake University, and Siena College. ˿Ƶ is one of five private institutions in the Buffalo Niagara region named to the 2020 list.

According to Money magazine, the 2020 Best Colleges Best Colleges in America list offers “a practical analysis of more than 700 four-year colleges.” Rankings are based on 27 measures in the areas of quality of education, affordability, and outcomes. Data on selected colleges, which must have at least 500 students to be considered for the rankings, was based on information from the U.S. Department of Education, Peterson’s, and PayScale.com. 

Among private New York State colleges, ˿Ƶ is listed as one of the most affordable, placing No. 6 for estimated price with average grants factored into attendance and ranked No. 8 based on estimated cost without aid. 

In addition to Money magazine’s Best Colleges list, ˿Ƶ was recently ranked for the second consecutive year as one of the best national universities in the country in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges rankings. The college was also ranked in the special social mobility category, placing at No. 135 (tied) among national universities.
