Jul 22, 2019AMHERST, N.Y. – ˿Ƶ College has announced the appointment of Emily Burns Perryman as associate vice president of marketing and communications at ˿Ƶ College. Her appointment is effective Aug. 5.
In this role, Perryman will lead ˿Ƶ’s marketing and communications initiatives, including the development and implementation of the college’s strategic marketing and branding plans. She will directly supervise the areas of marketing, communications, and publications.
“Emily brings tremendous knowledge and experience both in higher education and the private sector, and we are confident she will be a strong leader in building an integrated marketing and communications program for our college,” said Mary Glenn, ˿Ƶ vice president for institutional advancement. “As we look to further elevate ˿Ƶ’s prominence and academic excellence, this position will play a crucial role in maintaining our current, growing enrollment trajectory, and continuing to raise the profile of our high-quality programs.”
Perryman brings to ˿Ƶ a breadth of experience in marketing and communications, having most recently served as director of marketing and public relations at Trocaire College. She previously served as integrated media and digital strategy supervisor for Freed Maxick, a prominent, regional accounting firm.

Active in the community and involved with various organizations, Perryman serves on the board of the National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York and is the co-founder of Unite By Night, a local nonprofit startup that supports Western New York nonprofits and community stakeholders who combat racism, bias, and discrimination while promoting diversity and inclusion. She is also currently involved in several fundraising, leadership, and young professionals initiatives with the Western New York Women’s Foundation.
Perryman received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and marketing communications from the State University of New York Fashion Institute of Technology and a young professionals leadership certificate from Canisius College’s Center for Professional Development. She will complete a master’s in social and public policy from Empire State College this year.
A native of Getzville, Perryman resides in Buffalo.
