American Opportunity and Lifetime Learning Credits

The University will report to the IRS required information about students who were enrolled for at least one (1) credit hour in any semester, each tax year. Students will be mailed or will have online access to a 1098-T Tax Form by January 31st, of the following year.  The 1098-T will be available by going to the following website:  .  For further questions, please contact Heartland at 1-866-428-1098 or Live Chat (via website).

The 1098-T may be used by your tax preparer to determine your eligibility for a tax credit. Because each taxpayer's circumstances may vary, Student Accounts personnel cannot provide tax advice or assistance related to tax credits.  Any questions regarding how to claim the credit should be addressed to a qualified tax preparer.
