A National Nurses Week Discussion
May 13 | noon - 1:30 p.m. EST
Panel Discussion Virtual Event Via YouTube

There’s no question that the Covid-19 pandemic has presented challenges that we never expected to face. Working on the front lines of healthcare, nurses have risen to those challenges, through their incredible art of caring. The fight against Covid-19 has truly shown the important role that nurses play in caring for patients, especially those suffering from a devastating virus. Nurses are key to the future of healthcare and the nursing community has proven once again their strong commitment to developing quality care, expanding knowledge, and enhancing human dignity.

The art of caring starts with our nurses.

Presented as part of 2021 National Nurses Week May 6 - 12 (held each year in honor of Florence Nightingale’s birthday) this panel helps celebrate the contributions of nurses and will highlight diverse voices from the nursing and healthcare communities. Focusing on the theme of “Nurses: A Voice to Lead,” this panel will help acknowledge and shine light on this year’s celebration.

As nurses of today continue in the tradition of Nightingale and lead with compassion and conviction, the tenth installment of our virtual panel series will recognize nurses as powerful advocates and explore the ways in which they make a difference in our communities. The panel will raise awareness of the value of nursing today and assess how the nursing community is taking the lead in providing quality care for all and advocating for sound health policies globally.

Sponsored by the Nursing Department and graduate programs at ˿Ƶ College, listen in live and join our panelists as they share their perspectives, experiences, and thoughts on the art of caring. You’ll learn more about the unparalleled compassion of our nursing community and the tremendous impact nurses have on our world.
