Leading the Way

Exploring Careers in Public Health
June 24 | noon - 1:30 p.m. EST
Panel Discussion Virtual Event Via YouTube

There has never been a better time to learn about public and community health. A global pandemic has certainly put the spotlight on these areas, but it’s so much more than just a response to COVID-19. Public health focuses on protecting and improving the health of communities, and building relationships with communities is at the heart of this important work. On the front lines, those who work in public and community health not only react to changing circumstances in the world, but also work to ensure that the water you drink is clean, that nutritious foods are available to all, and that anyone who needs access to health-related services is able to obtain them. In addition, those in public health work tirelessly behind the scenes to create and implement policies that will ensure everyone’s health is protected.

In the twelfth installment of our virtual panel series, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ College will explore how public health is leading the way and making an impact on people and communities. Panelists will explore how public and community health is interdisciplinary and intertwined within our society and will also discuss ways of promoting health at home and how you can get involved in preventative proactive health movements.

Sponsored bygraduate programs and theMasters of Public Health programat Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ College, listen in on this virtual event and join our panelists as they share ways their experience has shaped their lives and how their role in public health has made a difference.
