Employment of community health workers is expected to from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Through knowledge and experience, students pursuing the community healthy specialization learn about administrative aspects of health care, community outreach and advocacy, health disparity, illness risk factors and trends, and more, to improve health behaviors and outcomes.
